Alpbach offers customers extraordinary opportunities: the entire village can be incorporated into the event in a coherent and authentic manner.
Organisers can adapt the Congress Centrum Alpbach to suit their corporate identity. Where desired, village service partners can be included in the event concept. While other event centres try to improve their performance year after year, Alpbach prides itself in offering a sustainable environment and in remaining “grounded”.
Traditional architectural style
The exception proves the rule
On the initiative of distinguished businessman Alfons Moser, Alpbach's mayor from 1945 to 1979, the municipal council decided on building regulations in 1953. They ruled that that new buildings must confrom to the traditional architectural style. The distinguishing characteristics of this alpine architecture are immediately recognisable. Masonry is only allowed on the ground floor of all houses. On the first floor and all subsequent floors, all houses have wooden panelling.
The Tyrolean village has made this type of construction unique and distinctive.
